This is a human Lambda Fab using the same sequences as the therapeutic antibody bentracimab. It is designed to reverse the antiplatelet activity of ticagrelor in major bleeding and urgent surgery situations. Ticagrelor is a reversible oral P2Y12 platelet inhibitor used to treat patients with acute coronary syndromes (ACS), prior myocardial infarction, high-risk coronary artery disease, transient ischemic attack, or ischemic stroke. As with other antiplatelet drugs, spontaneous major bleeding or bleeding associated with urgent or emergent invasive procedures are concerns. Bentracimab binds to free ticagrelor with high affinity and specificity.
